The Tour de Pants was created as a contra event to the Tour de France to celebrate Mountain Biking in P.E.I. This event is the third stage of the Cycling PEI Citizen Mountain Bike Series.

CPEI will also be holding a Riders of Tomorrow fun race for young children prior to the main event. This mini event shall take place on double-track trail close to the trail head. The ride will last about 5 minutes providing kids with an opportunity to participate. All Riders of Tomorrow participants will receive an award. Parents are asked to join their children in the ride as well. Riders of Tomorrow is a free event and is open to kids under the age of 12.

July may be a month to celebrate professional Road Racing in Europe, but here on P.E.I. the Tour de Pants promises to deliver raw Mountain Biking thrills like no other. If you’re feeling adventurous dress-up (traditionally including fancy colourful pants) to be entered in the “Best pants” draw!
