Stage 3 - Dalvay by the Sea Mtb Series Red Mud Mountain Mayhem X
     August 11, 2006 — Duncan Sturz

Red Mud Mountain Mayhem has become a mountain biking tradition in the Maritimes. Over the past 10 years the event has grown and is now the strongest it?s ever been. This year the Atlantic Mountain Championships return to PEI for Red Mud?s 10th anniversary. The weekend will consist of 3 stages, a Short Track event and Uphill TT (the Alpe de Brookvale) on Saturday August 26th. Then on Sunday August 27th the figurehead of the event, the Cross Country event.

The Short Track Course is a short 1.5km loop, which includes a large climb and technical single-track descent. The Alpe de Brookvale Uphill TT is run on a hill with a very formidable grade, finish times are usually very close in this stage. The Cross Country event is run on a combination of technical and fast flowing single track as well as some grueling double track climbs.

The event is being held August 26th and 27th at the Brookvale Nordic Centre.
