The sixth annual Tip 2 Tip for Africa bicycle ride will take place October 9th-11th. It is a 3-day adventure that takes participants across PEI via the Confederation Trail while raising funds for Mikinduri Children of Hope and The Townships Project. While registration includes meals and accommodation for three days and two nights, return transportation from Charlottetown to the trailhead, and evening entertainment, participants must also raise pledges that support the two registered Canadian charities doing poverty relief work in Africa. New this year is a corporate team category where businesses and organizations can enter four-person teams. The team raising the most corporate pledges will be awarded a prize and bragging rights until next year’s event. Training rides begin for participants and those considering the event on Saturday, August 14, leaving from the Charlottetown Farmers Market at 9 am.
