Biking for Breakfast
     March 4, 2008 — Ken Trenholm

This is an exciting year to be involved in the Biking for Breakfast Challenge.  We already have 16 riders who are registered (6 months before the event!) -- that translates into 99 spots are left to meet our goal of riders.

I'm sending out this email to all riders who are currently registered and those who have registered in previous years, to update you on a few changes and encourage early registration.

The first change is we have included an early and regular registration fee.  The early registration fee remains the same as last year ($10).  Our now new regular registration fee is $25.  So, if you register before June 15, then you will receive our early registration.

Marks Work Wearhouse, a community-minded business, of Summerside and Charlottetown, are again offering a free t-shirt to the first 50 riders who register.

The second change is an official training series and training calendar.  You can visit information on the official training series (SEA PEI Bicycle Tour) by visiting this link:

The third change is the Department of Education is providing us with two buses to provide shuttle transportation to and from the event.  As the purpose of this event is a fund-raiser for breakfast school programs, the message is indeed the medium.

We also have a new $10 per trip transportation shuttle fee. As always, transportation shuttles are on a first-come first-served basis so register early and get your transportation fees in to insure you won't be disappointed.

Since the inception of BFBC, we have provided 246,641 breakfasts to children on PEI.  You are invited to help us reach our goal of $15,000 in total pledges and 115 riders.

Take Care and I can't wait to be in the middle of all the excitement at North Cape on August 2, 2008!
